Hydraulic Ram Pump

Another way to pump water uphill

This pump is known since the 18th century and uses the momentum of a relatively large amount of moving water to pump a relatively small amount of water uphill. The most important thing is, it requires no outside source of power other than the kinetic energy of water and once it´s running the maintenance is very low.
