Emmy Noether - one of most important mathematicians
Research concentrated not only upon the ways that the machines can imitate physical operations, or control physical systems, but also on computational systems that act, in some way, like physical systems.
The flows and translations occurring in some cellular automata systems demonstrate some of these properties. Results of this works were presented at the Automata 2003 conference in Leuven, Belgium.
This work contains strong references to the work of Emmy Noether, one of the most important mathematicians of the 20th century, and one of the first women active in the area to boot.
